Pick Your Plum's at it Again

Pick Your Plum has some super cute striped straws today. You know, those straws that everyone's using in candy buffets lately?!?! They have 50 straws for $3.95. Shipping is an easy $3.75 whether you order 1 set or 5. If you're anything like me, and I don't even have children, you'll stock up for birthday parties. Now I just need to figure out a way to talk The Hubs into letting me use cute gray striped straws for his birthday. Wine out of a straw???

Presents from See Kate Sew

I won Miss Lovie's $20 giveaway to See Kate Sew's etsy shop a while ago. And in true Jennifer fashion, I couldn't wait to order something from Kate's site. I finally decided on this turquoise clutch. It came yesterday wrapped to a T. {I really need to get wrapping tips from Kate.} Excited!!! I wish everyday could be like Christmas.  These awful iPhone pics really don't do it justice but I'm sticking to the 30 Day Challenge. Editing or not.

Soft ruffle goodness!!!

I promise I have lots of craft projects waiting to be shared. my randomness will have some kind of structure eventually :)

Personalized Ribbon at Pick Your Plum

Instead of sharing one of my own pictures today, I'm going to share a picture of the great Pick Your Plum deal that I just purchased. Remember the persoanlized ribbon I used in my Christmas gifts? PYP has cute ribbon for Valentine's Day or really for year round sweet gifts. It's 5 yards of ribbon for only $4.50. After being cut into labels that equals 40 sweet ribbon labels. Be sure to go check it out!!!

You might be a nerd if....

You catch yourself playing Sims Free Play on your phone in the 30 seconds of free time you manage to find a day.

My Sims WooHoo'ed the other day. Was I overly excited about this? Maybe.

Don't judge.

I woke up this morning to a very cold house. Our heater's blowing cold air when it decides to work. However, the furbabies and I are taking full advantage of the cold...

Friday, January 13, 2012

Last night was my first time volunteering at ARF Mobile. My good friend Mandy is a regular volunteering master and loves furbabies just as much as I do. It took her all of 2 seconds to convince me to come help out. I love it!! Those babies are in desperate need of love and attention. They definitely got their share of it last night. The Animal Rescue Foundation saves these sweet things from local shelters and living on the streets. They're up to date on their shots, spayed/neutered, micro-chipped, fed, loved, etc.

I couldn't decide on which one picture to share so I picked a couple...

Bronte - look at those sweet eyes! She is too cute and it's the most heart breaking thing to
see how wary she is of humans. Don't you just want to hold and hug on her all day?!?!
Reggae - love those eyes!! He was rescued from a local shelter after his family gave him up.
You can see how well mannered he is. He just chilled the whole time I was there.
Memphis - there's something about this hound that makes me want to crawl in that kennel
and snuggle. I've got a thing for big ole, beautiful eyes I guess.

Wrecks - this baby and his sister, Paisley, reminded me of my baby Bella.
I couldn't stay away from them.

Taylor - I think I found a fave! She has my niece's name and she's sweet as pie!
She was so good too!!

Sweetheart - got lots of love from Mandy. She's been at ARF for a while and
I just can't understand why. She loves hugs and attention. I would love to
see her adopted to a forever home.

These babies all need forever homes. I was there for a couple of hours last night and wanted to take all of them home.  I would bend over to get kisses from one baby, just to be pawed in the rear by the puppy behind me. They're all too sweet to be without a loving family.

Instead of posting a picture from yesterday I decided to share today's breakfast in all of it's fattening tatertot and jalapeno glory. My buddy at work surprised me with a Super Sonic Breakfast Burrito from Sonic. I haven't had one since I lived in my apartment directly across from Sonic. I used to eat them every morning. Of course that was also back when my metabolism was actually existent and I didn't gain 3lbs with every bite of deliciousness. Even with my "diet" in mind {can you call it a diet when you eat chocolate the whole time??}, this officially made my day.

Throw caution to the wind and enjoy life's little surprises :0)

I'm special

I forgot to take a '30 Day Challenge' picture yesterday. By '30 Day Challenge' I mean, one in which I am not pictured. However, I just so happen to take a ton of pictures with my phone on a daily basis so I tried looking for a decent one from yesterday.

Instead, you get these...

I attended a work dinner last night and as Cher so eloquently said in Clueless, I don't trust mirrors so I take pictures. What?! I had to make sure my eyeshadow was even! If nothing else I've learned two things from these pics: One, I need to finish cleaning my craft room and Two, my mirror is FILTHY. Thank you, 30 Day Challenge!

Started reading a new book last night. There's just something about Pride & Prejudice...

Read any good books lately?

Happy Monday

I hope everyone had a great weekend! I spent the entire weekend organizing my craft room. I was too ashamed to take a before picture. My after-Christmas-mess was disastrous. And what's really sad is that the craft room is just one of the rooms in the house that was affected. It's a horrible, horrible disease. I refuse to admit that I hoard craft supplies. Hi. My name is Jenn and I'm obsessed with crafting.

Finally got my closet in somewhat of a working order.
Would it be really sick if I completely rearranged my dresser drawers so that I could fit all of my Cricut accessories somewhere?! Cause that's basically what I did. I know...I'm a hoarder.

Part of the 30 Day Challenge. If you'd like to see more pics from my first 30 days, click here, here, or here.

Happy Birthday Sis

Yesterday was my little sister's 24th birthday. The hubs and I met some of the fam dam at Texas Roadhouse {the perfect spot for us because we tend to get a little loud. By 'us' I mean me}. We had a lot of fun. So glad I got to spend time with you, Kelli. Love you!!!

Etsy Treasury - Grey and Yellow -- So Fresh

Ok, first, I am so glad to see someone that spells 'grey' like I do. Do you know how many times I've been made fun of for spelling it with an 'a'?? A lot!

Dawn featured one of my bib necklaces in her treasury Grey and Yellow -- So Fresh. I do love me some yellow and grey. I've added over half of these items to my favorites already.

Thanks Dawn!!!

30 Day Challenge

I found this incredible blog Marc and Angel Hack Life and their 30 Challenges for 30 Days of Growth sounds like something I can do to better myself. Or maybe it's just Marc's writing {which is phenom} that makes me feel like I can go out and conquer the world!

Marc suggests picking a couple of the 30 challenges and working on them for 30 days. After 30 days, pick a couple more challenges. I have the attention span of a gnat so I'm going to stick with one challenge for now. Number 30 itself: document every day with one photograph and one paragraph. And since I have this wonderful outlet, I will be blogging a paragraph and picture every day. Well, in theory that's what will happen.

Day 1: I went home during lunch yesterday and the dear, sweet postman delivered a box for me. It was full of free stuff!!! I went to VistaPrint and got all the loot you see below for the free. I paid maybe $8 for shipping. That's a personalized coffee cup, 250 business cards, a personalized tote, a self-inked stamp {also personalized}, and 10 Christmas cards for next year all for $8. I learned about this awesome deal from Eastern Shore Mom. This little present in my mailbox officially made my day!

Here's hoping that we all find a little something in our day to make it oh so special :0) HAPPY FRIDAY!!!

Toodles to 2011

Happy New Year!!! I've had a memorable year and I'm really excited to have another great one. I hope everyone's got those resolutions ready. I'm afraid my list of resolutions {yes, I said "list"} is long. But I've got all year to work on them.

Numero Uno: Make a collage of awesomeness. Done!!

In the past year: I got engaged. Added a cute little dachshund to our brood. Ate lots of cake. Danced. Watched my family become larger. Made funny faces. Painted some pictures. Made lots of crafts. Stalked a couple of blogs. Danced some more. Made an awesome candy table. Walked for boobies. Became Minnie Mouse. Drank several bottles of champagne. Discovered my inner dancing queen AGAIN. Spent lots of time with friends. Had a great Christmas. Married my Love! Celebrated lots. Got the best In-Laws. Became an Aunt. Had the Happiest Year EVER!!!
