Etsy Treasury - Sunshine

My Grey and Yellow Bib Necklace was featured in a treasury this weekend: Sunshine by LifesLilAccessories.  This is a great treasury full of happies. {side note: I just discovered Craft Cult hence the cool Treasury Widget below. You can click on any of the items in the treasury directly from this post. I'm obsessing over Craft Cult!! If you have an Etsy shop, you should definitely visit their site. They have lots of cool stuff.} You can also go to LifesLilAccessories here and check out some pretty crystal jewelry.

Yellow has become one of my favorite colors this year. Everything about it screams happiness and who doesn't need a little happiness in their day. As a matter-of-fact Jared bought  me some yellow fingernail polish yesterday that I am dying to actually use. I might even put some gunmetal grey polka dots over the yellow polish on my toes. That would make it even more spectacular.

Hope everyone can find some sunshine in their day as well :)

Etsy Obsession: Stonewash & Bloom

My newest obsession you may recognize from the Peach Pit Treasury post. It featured the beautiful peach rosette headband. Stacey's shop Stonewash & Bloom has some uber cute headbands and I could not wait to click on all the different colors and styles. I mean where do I begin....Hi. My name is Jenn and I am addicted to accessories.  Especially hair accessories. When I actually do fix my hair, I love to add a little something extra. What can I say? I like glitz and glam. Rhinestones, Glitter, and Girliness = Fantabulous!!

A few of my faves from Stonewash & Bloom:

White Leather Feather Headband

Yes, please

Mustard Yellow Headband

AND if you like to endlessly stalk creative blogs  follow blogs please visit her blog here.  Stacey is really sweet and totally seems like a girl I could talk to about rosettes and cute headbands and girly stuff like that. Stop by her shop or her blog and say hi.

My Jewelry Models

Hope everyone had a great weekend. I know I did. I got to spend lots of time with the Hubs and our nieces. {A little side note: Couldn't there be a sweeter name for my new family other than in-laws. I feel like that has such a negative feel to it. Any suggestions??} I made the girls some cute turqouise flower earrings with rhinestones in the center. Made myself a pair as well so we all matched. Presley hasn't had her ears pierced yet so I dug up some earring clips for her tiny little ears. I think they were a success and they looked so stinkin cute on her. I made some rings for them as well. I couldn't find any youth size filigree ring bands that I liked so I used some of my superb jewelry skills (I'm lying, it took no skill at all. Thank gawd) and shaped the rings to fit my pinky. Taylor has already requested some more colors which I will be more than happy to put together for her. I've got to have her looking THE BOMB this Summer in some colorful flower jewelry.

Terrific Taylor

She is rocking those earrings!!!

Precious Presley

She's so fabulous she wears her new clip-on earrings in the splash pad at the park. Because, that's how we do it!!

Speaking of The is Ms. Kylie looking like a rockstar. My good friend Jennifer recently purchased some rosebud earrings and a sweet little flower ring for her niece Kylie who was more than willing to model her new jewelry for us. She already has those modeling poses down!

Could these girls get any cuter?!?! Glad they liked their jewelries :)

Fantabulous Friday

This week's awesomeness would be DIY wall art which I found a ton of inspiration online. A few of my pins on Pinterest:

I can definitely put together some pretty paper canvases (Is canvases even a word?? I feel like it should be canvasi or something a little more spectacular sounding) and hang those bad boys. I, however, don't see the hubs letting me hang cans on the walls.

Painted Thrift Store Frames

DIY Patterned Wall Squares

{How About Orange}
These patterned squares are made from foam board and your fave patterned paper. I can so see myself doing this project. Better yet, Jessica also gives a few hints on how to attach those pretty littles to the wall without having to use nails.

Tea Cup Clock

{Sweet Paul}

I hope to have at least one of these on my wall soon. I would have the cutest house EVER if only I could commit to finishing all my DIY projects. One day....

Have a Great Weekend!!!

Cricut or Silhouette????

It's no secret that I REALLY want an "electronic cutting machine". I've worked with the Cricut before and absolutely love it. I want it. BAD. I can sit and think of all the different crafty projects that I could accomplish with one of those bad mamajammas in my possession. The only thing is that I want to save up enough money to get the machine (it comes with one cutting mat, some cartridges, etc) and the separate cartridges that I want. I promised myself that only after I had saved up the extra money would I buy one. 'Extra' being the keyword there. Oh and I really want the Cricut Expression2: Anniversary Edition because it has some cool new features that would so help with my OCD hoarding and what not {unfortunately, it's more expensive *sniff, sniff*}. The feature that I think would most make me happy is the mat preview. It allows you to preview how your shapes will look on the mat. I hate to waste my craft supplies so mat preview is definitely worth the extra $100 to me. Wasting vinyl would probably put me in some kinda of anxiety-induced coma. No one wants to see that. Trust me.

The Cricut stands alone, no computer needed. You set it up, buy the cartridges, and you're ready to cut.

Then there's the Silhouette SD. It comes with software, you hook it up to your computer and you only buy the shapes/words you want. You don't have to buy expensive cartridges just to use one shape. AND one of the blogs I stalk has a Silhouette Promo going on now until the 29th. Shanty2Chic has a promo code that will get me the machine {and everything that comes with it} and two packs of temporary tattoo paper for $199. PLUS 25% off all other products. I personally don't need the temp tattoo paper but I have two super cute nieces who would love it and lots of friends with children. The only drawback of this is I have to connect to a computer. Jared works at home on our main computer and his office isn't exactly crafter friendly. I'm not too sure how he'd feel about sharing his space with me while I obsess over all the things I will be making. What if he's working and I want need to make something?!?!

Could you please help me make this decision. I really want to purchase one of these soon. If I get the Silhouette, I have until the 29th to make up my mind. If someone bought me one of these two, that would really make my decision easier. And they'd be my best friend! And I would love them forever! Any takers???

Etsy Treasuries: Teal and Peach

I have been so fortunate to have more of my items featured in two treasuries this week. I'm a HUGE fan of everything Etsy. I buy most of my supplies and a lot of random goodies from Etsy sellers so I jump at the chance to blog about someone's shop. Being an Etsy seller myself I know that every bit helps. I abosolutely love having my items in treasuries . I get just as excited about being in a treasury as I do when I actually sell something. And I hope that I never lose that excitement. So, that being said, here are two treasuries and their awesome curators.

This treasury is full of some really cute items. I love the graphic print shirts and accessories (my earrings being one of those fabulous accessories). Great Job!!

CatamountDigital's shop is filled with awesome photographic prints. It was VERY hard to come up with just two of my faves but I think I have it narrowed down to:

I love these colors. I'm really into teal and turquoise right now{along with the rest of the world} so this print definitely caught my attention.

Love me some peach! The items in this treasury should all be mine. The jewelry and accessories are to die for. I can't even pick one specific item to focus on.

Tamaragineo makes wine totes that I absolutely must possess. I mean who doesn't want one of these?!?!

I also would like to get one of these wish bracelets. I have a thing for charms and already own a wish necklace that is so cute I couldn't bear for it to actually break. I might be wearing this bracelet in the near future.

Gotta love some teal and peach!!! Go check out these shops on Etsy to get an even better understanding of their awesomeness :)

Fantabulous Friday - Pick Your Plum

Welcome to my new obsession!! Today's fantabulousness is something that I just couldn't go another day without sharing. I recently discovered Pick Your Plum while catching up on my blogs. Pizzazzerie is this cuper cute blog that's currently on my stalk list and Courtney's current craft giveaway is $75 worth of craft goodies. Visit her blog and check out the post where I also learned about Pick Your Plum. Her giveaway ends today so HURRY over and check her out. She's so cute!

Pick Your Plum is this awesome site that has daily deals of super cheap craft goodness. They offer one deal a day Monday through Friday. The only catch is you have to get there fast before their limited quantity of supplies is gone. It's so easy to sign up for the email list. Go to their site and sign up. You'll get daily emails on their latest deal. I've been signed up for two days and have already had some great picks. Today's deal is the Naked 4 square picture plaque at 65% off!

What I find completely fantabulous about this site is that not only do they offer some amazing deals, they also throw in a couple of pictures to give you some inspiration. I bought some of these kits and I plan on making 2 or 3 {probably 12 :)} photo boards and that fabulous key holder. We need one of those with a quickness.

So hurry over to Pick Your Plum and sign up. I'm anxious to see what Monday's deal will be. I have a feeling this site is going to be my new best friend!!!

My baby is going under the knife :(

First,  for those of you who don't spend a considerable amount of time with me, I am completely head-over-heels in love with my furbabies. Especially Isabella. They are my children and I sometimes get a little emotional over them. When Milo and Otis were declawed it was the worst experience EVER. I cried like any mommy would at the thought of their babies spending several nights away UNTIL I saw the vet bill. Then I saw red. Long story. Back to Bella! Shooter has started to notice her, if you get my drift. In the 4 years since Shooter's birth, I've never seen him do anything like this to a female. I'm trying to avoid saying 'hump' but it's getting to be too much of a thing....sooooo Shooter is trying to hump Bella. And they're siblings. Siblings in the sense that they have the same human mommy and daddy. But nonetheless, they. are. babies. I would rather not ever think about my fur children having sexual organs. EVER! I immediately called the vet and made an appointment for that poor little girl to get spay. Ohh, the emotional turmoil. I don't want to spend the night away from her or for her to be in pain. I don't like this one bit!!! But can you imagine what the babies would look like?!?!?!

Bella and her brother/cousin Wilson

The goofball...this is what I sleep with when Jared's away.

The Hiestands - Subway Style

Lately I've been seeing a lot of subway art on the blogosphere and I'm loving it! This is basically my first attempt. And since I already had my scrapbooking supplies out, I just used wedding and family themed raised bubble stickers I snagged from Hobby Lobby. {side note: If I had a cricut, I could have used vinyl...just saying} Only took me a couple of minutes to put it together. Shimmery silver cardstock, stickers, sticky rhinestones THE END. Of course now I need to find a frame that will do my masterpiece justice. My to-do list is neverending :)
